Need help finding the size of your tyre? Speak to our staff and they will help you, or have a look at the example below:
The tyre size is a series of 7 numbers typically with a ‘/’ and ‘R’ or ‘ZR’ in between. It is found on the face of the tyre and looks like this:
205/55R17
In this example,
205 is the width
55 is the profile
R17 is the rim size
How can you tell if you need a locking key for the wheel? If the wheel nuts all look the same, you most likely wouldn’t need a locking key. But if one of them looks different from the rest, you may have a lock on your wheel.
Most of the time, the locking key is kept with the jack or in the glovebox. If you don’t think you need one then you don’t have to worry about looking for the key and we can simply remove the nuts as normal. If you do think you need a locking key but can’t find it- not to worry! We just need to see a photo of the locking nut to see if we can force the lock open and fit on the tyre. We may perceive that the lock cannot be broken, in this case we can arrange for a recovery service to take your vehicle to a local garage or your home address.
